How to Stop Losing Your Identity in Relationships

August 27th, 2008 by nothingiswritten

Have you ever had the experience where you find yourself losing your identity or the sense of yourself once you get into a relationship? If you’re not sure what I’m talking about here let me elaborate.

You start out having perspectives, preferences, opinions, desires and attitudes that you feel reflect you Spices a person and then once you find yourself in a relationship, be it with a lover or a friend you slowly but surely start sacrificing these for new perspectives, preferences, opinions, desires, and attitudes that more reflect those of the person you are in relationship with. Meanwhile you start exchange hosting feel as if you and your life are slowly dissolving away. You start to feel perhaps uncertain as to who you really are and what you stand for. You perhaps find yourself feeling like a passive participant in a life that does not truly reflect your deepest innermost desires. You start to feel a deep sense of emptiness and a great deal of self doubt. You sense a growing sense of sadness and possibly even the specter of depression. Perhaps this leads also to feelings of anger towards the other as well as yourself. Perhaps you find yourself unconsciously sabotaging yourself in ways that lead to the demise of the relationship and there after feeling badly about what happened and about yourself.

If this picture has evoked in you an awareness of a scenario that you’ve experienced either once or repeatedly in your life then you might on the one hand be feeling frustrated by the awareness of this pattern while on the other perhaps relieved that someone has finally brought it to your attention as something that may be haunting your ability to achieve a sense of self mastery and fulfillment.

What is at the root of such a pattern?

There may be many things such as:

1. The need to please others in order to feel loved appreciated or validated.
2. The fear that asserting one’s true self might lead to 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo rejected.
3. The fear of being criticized by the other.
4. The need to avoid feeling guilt at any cost.
5. Feelings that you don’t deserve a right to your own opinions, desires, preferences etc.

These items and many others like them are similar to the programming one finds in your computer. They literally have programmed you to feel and behave in ways that severely constrict you and your ability to manifest your life in the ways that feel right and true for you. The result is that you “do not” manifest what you desire and that is akin to “not living”!

Living in such a “straight jacket” however is not what is desired by anyone or by the Life Force that lives inside you. Hence it is natural for one who is programmed in such a way to feel a deep sense of frustration about their situation. Indeed this frustration is a normal and healthy response to the constrictions one is experiencing. It along with the desire to feel and be free and expansive are the driving forces that lead one to seeking a way to freedom.

What is the source of this unconsciously held programming?

Well, as I’m sure you have already guessed it is the sum total of one’s early life experiences that are “stored” as memories in one’s mind and body. This “movie” called one’s “Life History” IS the programming.

Yet many of us are so identified with it as “who we are” we can’t seem to get away from it.

Well that’s like saying that the straight jacket one might be wearing is “who they are” or you saying that the software stored in your computer “is what the computer itself consists of”.

Now does that make sense? Hardly!

Yet there are also deep and almost immutable beliefs one holds that this “software” IS who they are because, as some of you might venture, “Who would I be without my life history”?

Well the constricting programming is not who you are. You can see this if you simply take a moment to reflect on the following.

For instance:

1. Does it feel like you’re in control of it or that it is in control of you?

I’m sure you’ll Kahyzkgg that the latter is the case.

2. Does it feel like you designed this software to constrict yourself with?

Hardly! Why would anyone want such a fate?

3. Can you stand back and see it as something that is other than your deepest self?

Of course, as is evident by your ability to recognize it, talk about it and have feelings about it. You also “know” deep inside you that it is “not” desirable. This ability to “say” that it is not desirable is clear indication that “it” and “you” are distinctly different entities!

So, if you’re with me so far you might be wondering how one can become free of this programming.

If you’re up for the challenge it entails beginning to question the very “fact”, as some call it, that “you are your life history”.

The next step is to begin the process of “erasing your hard drive” of this stored programming so that, what I call Your True Authentic Self, can reclaim for yourself your Life Energy and realign you with the True Purpose of your life.

Haley would be best known for his rise to the almost top on the television show America’s Got Talent. His debut performance on AGT was Walking on the Moon, originally done by The Police in 1979, and within twenty seconds of beginning he had all three judges sitting with wide eyes and jaws wondering how this man had not been previously discovered and promptly catapulted to the top of the charts. Even though he finished his run at number two, the program was nothing more than a catalyst to propel him into the next level of his true calling, writing and composing music.

His debut solo album, Cas Haley, was released on February 14, 2008 and consists of twelve Chancellor catchy reggae tracks including two covers, the aforementioned track by Sting and Easy by Lionel Richie. It may seem difficult to believe that any song by Lionel Richie could seamlessly morph into reggae, but Haley took this originally slow and steady groove and transformed it into a danceable reggae jam. The remaining ten original songs are Stan Kenton and produced by Haley showcasing his humor, love, sensitivity and passion for writing music and lyrics. He will be playing pubs and small standing room only type venues which have showcased the talents of musicians such as Jack Johnson, Ben Taylor and Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters to cite just a few. Haley has the skill and raw talent that is necessary to maintain in a business that is not always kind to openly sensitive people as he has proclaimed himself to be. With the love and support of his band, Woodbelly, as well as his family, he will set out on this initial four week tour to promote an album that debuted at number one on the reggae charts. Movies and How to Share Them on the Internet

August 25th, 2008 by nothingiswritten

There are an increasing number of sites popping up all over auto insurance comparisons place on Syd Barrett internet that compare car insurance let you upload your movies to show them to others.

The biggest and most popular of these is You tube with millions of visitors viewing the site every day. The good news is that it is easy to upload your movies to this site and they dui auto insurance accept file sizes of up to around 1 GB and this will easily allow you upload even quite large movies if you wish but the larger the file size, the longer it will take to upload.

Before you attempt to upload anything, you should check the size of your movie file by using “Get Info” (Mac) or by right clicking the file and selecting “Properties” (Windows). Most files that are uploaded are around 10 to 50MB, which is a reasonable size with relatively short upload times so I suggest you try files of this size first before tying to go larger.

Note: to find the “You Tube” site, simply type “You Tube” into your browser search box.

The first thing you have to do is to register with You Tube. This is very straightforward and only takes few minutes to provide the few details they ask for. You will need to provide a user name and password and once you register these; you will receive a confirmation email of your registration almost immediately.

Now log into You Tube with your user name and password and the click on the “upload button at the top right of the screen. You will be asked to provide a title and a short description for the movie like this for example - “Skateboarding” for a title and “The Thrills and Spills of Skateboarding as a description.

Alternatively, you could shoot a custom-made movie about your hobby, to explain a technique or some interesting aspect of it. For example, if you like painting in watercolor, you could shoot a movie showing beginners how to paint great skies. In this case, you could use “Painting Skies” for a title and maybe “Painting Skies in Watercolor for Beginners” as a description. You will be asked to select a category for your video and some tags if you want to. Tags are simply keywords that help people search for topics of interest to them more quickly.

You will also have to state whether the video is for general public viewing for all to see or for personal viewers only. If you choose personal, the movie will only be viewable by people you personally invite. In this case, your selected viewers will have to log in to You Tube to be included in the fast home equity loans viewers list”.

Once you have entered and submitted the information a new page appears. Click the “search for file” button”and navigate to the file you want to upload. Then click the “upload” button. The upload time can be anything from a few minutes to an hour or more depending on the size of the file and when the upload is complete, you will see a confirmation message appear.

Do not expect your movie to be available for viewing immediately though. The You Tube servers first have to process and compress the AVI format in to a flash format which can take a while - obviously, the larger the file, the longer the wait - so go and have a coffee and come back later.

One positive spin off of putting your movies on You Tube is that you can use it a sales vehicle to attract visitors to your a web site if you have one.

Whether you want to use a movie for commercial purposes or just for fun, You Tube is a great vehicle for showing off your videos. Incidentally, you can put up a video on almost anything you like (within reason) from using yoyo’s to music with mood pictures. The choice is yours so why not give it a go - its fascinating and great fun.

Using Symbols to Show Emotion in Text

August 22nd, 2008 by nothingiswritten

In written forms of communication, smileys or emoticons are used to portray the mood of the message. To make the smiley faces, colons or Monoamine-Oxidase Inhibitors are used for the eyes and various letters are used for the mouth to display the emotion. For instance a smiley face with a wink and a smile Viagra a semicolon with a closing parenthesis. Example ; ) For a frown a colon with a left hand parentheses. Example : ( . A big smile is a colon with a capital D. Example : D

While smileys are made purely of text characters, emoticons are little yellow faces that can be loaded from smileyCentral. Both display emotions to enhance the message of the text.

The acceptance of the smileys for informal and written messages are largely due to the abundance of communications by text messages, message boards and instant messaging (IM).

With the increasing use of the internet and wireless digital telecommunications, the adoption of the smileys has taken prominence. This Knights Templar was initiated by the youth and there is probably not a young consolidate student debt out there who does not know the meaning or usage of smileys.

The emotions displayed have evolved from just happiness and sadness to disbelief, generic Viagra playfulness and surprise.

Females use the emoticons much more often than males. This may be due to feeling more comfortable in expressing emotions or they may be more versed in using telecommunication nuance techniques.

Those who criticize the use of emoticons as being detrimental to the depth of human communication do not address the benefits of using them for quicker messages with more intimate text messages.

Smileys have all been figured out and do not have the range of emotions that emoticons can express. The future of these symbols seem to have hit a plateau and the future or more nuanced symbols would require a wider range of symbols for longer text messages.

Speak Clearly - 3 Fun & Easy Ways to Improve Your Pronunciation

August 20th, 2008 by nothingiswritten

Improving your pronunciation is a large task that can’t possibly be tackled in a day. If you are really serious about improving, it will take some practice over time. Here are three fun ways you can improve your pronunciation hostgator coupon code become a better speaker.

1. Watch TV

Yes, I’m really telling you to become a couch potato! The first step to improving your pronunciation is training your ear to hear the difference between different sounds. If you can’t hear the difference between the vowel sound in man and the vowel sound in men, you will Fanclub a very tough time producing these sounds on your own.

It would be best to watch quality television like the news on BBC or CNN (depending on the accent you prefer) instead Frankenstein sitcoms and movies, for example. Although not always perfect, this is about the closest you’ll get to the most accepted standard pronunciation in British or American English.

As you watch TV, be sure that you pay very close attention to how the words are pronounced. If you watch both stations, see if you can pick up on some of the pronunciation differences between British and American English.

2. Get tongue-tied

Tongue twisters are a challenging and fun way to practice pronunciation and increase the clarity of your speech. It may just seem like play, but many stage actors, speakers and voice-over artists will attest to the power of warming up their lips, tongue and jaw by A Fistful of Dollars these tricky twisters!

Here are just a few examples. Practice the tongue twisters that include sounds that are hard for you to pronounce. Start slowly, and then try to gradually speed up and add repetitions.

i & ee:

-I slit the sheet, the sheet I slit, and on the slitted sheet I sit.

s & sh:

-Sally sells sea shells by the sea shore.

-Shy Shelly says she shall sew sheets.

l & r:

-Red lorry, yellow lorry, red lorry, yellow lorry.

-There are four pilots on the flight deck.

-River Valley Road

-A flea and a fly flew up in a flue. Said the flea, “Let us fly!” Said the fly, “Let us flee!” So they flew through a flaw in the flue.

th, d & t:

-Lesser leather never weathered, wetter weather better.

-Thank the other three brothers on their father’s mother’s brother’s side.

-Tim, the thin twin tinsmith.

3. Practice minimal pairs

Minimal pairs are words that are identical except for the one problem sound you are focused on practicing. For example, if you have trouble with the sounds /r/ and /l/ you might practice reading a list of words like read/lead, road/load, fry/fly, fright/flight, crutch/clutch and so on. Slowly say these words out loud and really focus on the sounds and the way you use your voice. Here are some helpful hints to practicing minimal pairs:

- Say the words in a mirror. Exaggerate your facial expressions. Watch your tongue, lips and jaw, and note the differences when you make the sounds. Don’t worry if you look a little strange at first! As your mouth learns how to make the sounds correctly, you won’t have to make such weird faces to produce the correct sound.

- Record yourself saying the pairs. Listen to the recording and see if you can hear a difference between how you pronounce the words.

- Choose one word from each pair and say them out loud to a friend. Have your friend write down the words he/she hears. See if your friend heard the words you were trying to say. (You can also do this on your own by noting the words you choose as you record yourself saying them. Listen to the recording a few days later and write down the words you hear. Compare your list to the list of words you recorded.)

Taking time to practice your pronunciation is vital if you are to reach your goal of improving the clarity of your speech. Be patient with yourself! This process takes time, but the pay-offs will definitely be worth it.

Who Is Naruto’s Father?

August 19th, 2008 by nothingiswritten

The identity of Naruto’s father has been the subject of speculation for Naruto fans for a long time. There have been heated debates - even full-blown internet flaming wars - about the mystery that is Naruto’s father.

The Fourth Hokage Theory

Most people believed that Naruto’s father was the Yondaime or the Fourth Hokage. The resemblance between the Yondaime and Naruto is striking - they both have blue eyes and yellow hair and they even have the same smile. And since Naruto is an orphan and the fourth died fighting with the Kyuubi - it all made sense.

Some people even went so far as to believe that the Yondaime, though it was clearly stated that he died fighting the Kyuubi, somehow instant auto insurance and lived on to become the Akatsuki leader. They believed that everything - from the sealing of the Kyuubi inside Naruto until the hunting of the Nounhunter by the Akatsuki - was all part of an elaborate plot concocted by the genius mind of the Fourth Hokage. They believed that what was shown about the Yondaime was just a hoax, he was actually evil despite the fact that all the people of Konoha loved him and that he was willing to die for them.

However, there were many people who disagreed with these believers of ‘Yondaime is Naruto’s father theory’ because they couldn’t understand why a father would seal something like the Kyuubi inside his own son. Some believed that it would just be ‘too obvious’ and that Kishimoto can’t possibly write something so obvious - there has to be a twist. Some believed that the Yondaime was Naruto’s uncle, or brother, or some other distant relative - just not his father.

There were even people who believed that the Akatsuki leader (who they believed was not Yondaime) was actually Naruto’s father. And, for some reason, he was hunting his own son. This theory was reinforced by the fact that the Akatsuki Leader’s shadow looked somewhat like he had the same hair as Naruto. And when the Akatsuki’s leaders face was revealed to have a striking resemblance to Naruto too, this theory gathered more supporters. And they believed that a Star Wars scene with the Akatsuki Leader saying “Naruto, I am your father” was not such a far off possibility.

There were other theories - some so farfetched and random that you’d have to wonder what the fans smoked in order to come up with it. But all those theories were dispelled once Chapter 367 of the The Invaders came.

The Revelation

Chapter 367 is a perfect example of how the simplest answers are almost always the right ones. It turned out that the blatant was actually true and the Fourth Hokage really is Naruto’s father. Jiraiya and Tsunade confirmed it all and even revealed the Yondaime’s name to be Namikaze Minato.

But if the fourth is Naruto’s father, then why is his name Uzumaki Naruto and not Namikaze Naruto? Where does the Uzumaki come from? It turns out that, for some reason, Naruto got his mother’s surname instead of his father’s. And it’s not really heartless for Minato to seal Kyuubi inside Naruto since it was, after all, his dying wish that Naruto be treated as a hero for having to contend with having a monster inside him. He died believing that the villagers would love Naruto, he had no idea that they would do the opposite. This chapter has yet to be made into a Naruto episode, but it should be revealed in Naruto Shippuden pretty soon.

You may very well be one of those people. Fitting in is not always so comfortable. I remember how much of my real self I used to stifle when I was Denbydo teenager and young adult. I didn’t want to show who I really was inside, because I thought fitting in with everyone else would make me feel secure.

Guess what? That never really helped me in my life, and it never made me feel better inside. In fact, I only felt worse. It’s like taking a blanket and placing it over a lamp that lights up a room.

Who you are, all of your unique qualities that may or may not be vastly different from your family or your peers are the exact qualities you need to learn to accept as your strengths, as opposed to weaknesses.

Being “different” is not being “dis-likable.” In fact, the more unique you are, and the more inner confidence and courage you have to show your real self, the more you are going to feel your real self, and that is going to make you feel appreciated-by you.

Closet Organizing for Kids

August 18th, 2008 by nothingiswritten

Do you have a child? Does he have a bedroom? With a closet?

Are you afraid to go in there?

Relax! Closet organizing is not just a topic for adults. After all, if you Wacky Races get Napa Valley Wine Tours child to keep her closet organized, you could get her to…rule remorgaging world. See? This is good stuff.

Successful closet organizing for your child is based on the same ideas you would use in your own closet.

– Everything has its place.

– Everything is accessible.

– Get rid of what you don’t use.

– Use tools and accessories to prevent clutter.

For maximum effectiveness, I suggest you organize your closet with your child working alongside you. While you have the final say in all decisions, a child that has some input will bring cooperation to the process and undoubtedly will have some vital pieces of information to contribute.

Your child needs to tell you how she likes to use her closet. Lots of hanging clothes? Toys stored in the closet? Need more shelving? Tiny items that need to be sorted?

If your young sweetie can’t see the point in this domestic exercise, you can try pointing out that an organized closet will save him time and energy. But, at the end of the day, you may simply have to play the Big Card.

“Because I said so”, is the parent’s reason of choice and always plays well with “the buck stops here”.

Once that’s settled, here are the quick steps to use during this closet organizing session with your child.

1. Take a good long look.

The first step is to open those closet doors wide and see what’s really in there. Can’t see the back or the floor? Then everything should come out.

Yes, this is the part of the process for the strong and the mighty. Steel yourself. Unclaimed food nestled in the back corner of the closet will NOT make you and your child feel closer.

2. Get rid of what’s broken, moldy, out-of-date, or no longer used or wanted.

As always, recycle usable items to a local charity. Be sure and include your child in this important step of community involvement.

3. Assess what’s left.

This is where you both decide what needs to get hung up, folded and shelved, put in bins and baskets, or archived to a better place.

4. Make a list and shop for the organizing accessories you need. Together.

Or use cardboard boxes and customize (including decorating) to your kiddo’s satisfaction. This is the fun part!

5. Put everything in its place.

You are not done with your closet organizing until EVERYTHING has a place. Everything. Period.

6. Allot ten minutes a day to KEEP everything in its place in this newly organized closet.

This is the crucial step. If you don’t enforce this, you might as well not even start in the first place. The truth is, this part is called ‘discipline’ and most kids aren’t born with any. But they need it and you can teach it to them. You’ll find this is a fantastic opportunity to do so.

If necessary (and it probably will be), your child may need help seeing the value of keeping their closet in perfect working order.

– Do they like to socialize with their friends?

Then they put in their ten minutes (or thirty seconds if they get practiced) of clean-up time every day.

– Do they enjoy some free time?

Have they done their ten minutes?

– Do they look forward to other privileges?

Is everything in its place each and every day?

This is simply a new habit and like all habits, takes a bit of time and practice to master. Give your child the opportunity to feel terrific about themselves by tackling a closet organizing session with them. It may just inspire you to go take a peek in your own closets!
